As a professional Celebrant I specialise in personalised ceremonies, ensuring each event reflects yours, and your loved ones' stories. From celebrations of life, to intimate weddings and naming ceremonies, I bring creativity and warmth to every occasion.

For every ceremony I will work closely with you and your family to ensure we craft the celebration or memorial that is right for you.  For all enquiries we arrange a discovery call - I can do this in person in the comfort of your own home, on the phone, or via an online meeting.  We will then work together to ensure every detail is attended to, and that your story is told in the way you intended.

My Story

Hello, my name is Jenny and I am proud to be a professional independent Celebrant based in Derbyshire.

For the past 25 years my work has been defined by two things; care and communication.  In my varied career in healthcare and education I have had the privilege of walking beside people during their most significant chapters - from the heights of achievement to the quietest moments of reflection.​

As a celebrant, I will aim to bring that same devotion to your milestones.  My experience will ensure that yours, and your loved ones' stories are told with the dignity, warmth and professional grace you deserve.

FAQs

What services do you provide?
Currently I provide funeral Celebrancy services tailored to you and your loved one.  I offer traditional crematorium services, celebrations of life (crematorium based or elsewhere), burial ceremonies, and internment of ashes.
How do you decide what to include in a ceremony?
You will be involved in the ceremony right from the start, from our first meeting to the day itself.  I will work with you to ensure your loved one has the ceremony they deserve, and can offer guidance and suggestions for reading and music choices and special touches to ensure a personalised, dignified and meaningful service.
What do ceremonies usually include?
This very much depends on where you would like to host the ceremony, and what you would like to include.  Usually for crematorium services we are limited to 30 minutes, but at other venues (such as natural burial sites) you can have all the time you would like.  Time can influence what we can include - however all services will include readings (these can be religious or secular), music, and the sharing of tributes for your loved one.  You may feel overwhelmed about making decisions in your time of grief, but rest assured, I will help you to design and deliver a personal and heartfelt service in an empathetic and caring manner.
How do I book you for a ceremony?
Usually your Funeral Director will assist you with finding the right celebrant for the service you wish for your loved one.  However, you can book directly with me and I will liaise with any providers you have already chosen.
